Volunteering is a big part of the medical community. In HOSA, we offer some volunteer opportunities throughout the year, but encourage members to go out into their community and learn what it's truly like to lend a helping hand to those that are in need.
Community service opportunities will be discussed at monthly HOSA meetings, on social media, on the remind app, in the health science classes, and posted here on the website. If you are wanting to letter in HOSA, it is required that you attend and participate in 12 community service hours.

Volunteer on your Own:
Feel free to go out in your community and volunteer on your own! Just keep in mind that most places require an adult with you! There are so many ways you can help from working at food banks, nursing homes, medical related walks/runs, donating blood at a blood bank, soup kitchens, doctor's offices, etc.
Please see Mr. Gongora to get approval before volunteering just to make sure it will be an appropriate medical/HOSA community service.
You must fill out the volunteer form below for each event and get a signature from the volunteer supervisor.
You are allowed a maximum of 6 hours of volunteer service outside of HOSA.
